ThreatModeler announced it has acquired IriusRisk, combining two enterprise threat-modeling platforms to broaden global scale, accelerate product development, and deepen support for security and development teams as organizations push secure-by-design practices across modern software delivery.
ThreatModeler said the deal creates what it described as the industry’s largest proprietary threat-model dataset, designed to speed how enterprises identify and mitigate application risk and to strengthen the software development lifecycle by serving both security architects and developers. The company positioned the combined offering as a way to enable secure AI and cloud adoption at scale, citing customer-reported returns including up to 10x productivity gains and up to 50% first-year cost reductions.
The company said the combined organization is trusted by Fortune 1000 customers across industries including financial services, pharmaceuticals, technology, and industrial manufacturing, with operations spanning North America, EMEA, and Asia. ThreatModeler added that the two businesses bring complementary strengths: ThreatModeler’s AI-driven approach aimed at standardizing and scaling threat modeling across complex environments, and IriusRisk’s developer- and architecture-team engagement supported by a large threat-modeling community and broad adoption.
ThreatModeler said the combination is intended to embed threat modeling more deeply across the software lifecycle while expanding access to expertise and automation, including capabilities it says have helped customers build threat models faster and scale adoption significantly.
Financial terms were not disclosed. The combined company is majority owned by Invictus Growth Partners, with Paladin Capital Group, a longtime IriusRisk investor, remaining a shareholder.
