Tiger Finance committed $78 million in new asset-based financing to retail and consumer products companies during the third quarter of 2026, deploying capital across refinancing transactions, growth initiatives, dividend recapitalizations, and supplemental liquidity facilities.
The lending platform, which operates as a division of Tiger Capital Group, structured the quarterly commitments through revolving credit facilities, term loans, and first-in, last-out debt. The financings supported both private equity-backed and non-sponsored borrowers.
The largest transaction during the quarter was a $33 million FILO term loan for women’s fashion retailer Maurices. Tiger Finance acted as agent on the facility and participated alongside Wingspire Capital as part of a broader refinancing of Maurices’ balance sheet.
The refinancing extended debt maturities and reduced borrowing costs for Maurices, which operates more than 800 stores. The transaction also expanded an existing lending relationship between Tiger and Maurices that began in 2023.
Tiger Finance also provided a $20 million revolving line of credit to Garage Beer, a premium light beer brand backed by Jason and Travis Kelce and Durational Capital Management. The facility is intended to support new product development and expansion into additional markets.
The Garage Beer transaction represents Tiger Finance’s second financing for a portfolio company backed by Durational Capital Management.
The third major commitment was a $25 million term loan to a large U.S. department store chain. The borrower used part of the proceeds to repay maturing higher-cost debt and increase liquidity, including liquidity used to support dividend payments to equity holders.
Tiger Finance focuses on secured lending structures that use assets including working capital, machinery and equipment, fixtures, real estate, and intellectual property as collateral. Its financing solutions for middle-market businesses include first-lien, second-lien, and split-lien facilities, frequently structured as term debt.
The platform draws on Tiger Capital Group’s broader asset valuation capabilities. Tiger said the organization appraises and sells more than $30 billion of inventory, brands, and other consumer assets annually, providing data that informs its underwriting and financing structures.
KEY QUOTE:
“Borrowers across the retail and consumer sectors are seeking flexible financing that both reflects the value of their assets and provides them the capital to execute on their business plans. Tiger appraises and sells in excess of $30 billion annually of inventory, brands, and other consumer assets every day. That lets us lend against them with confidence and structure facilities that go beyond a conventional borrowing base.”
