By Amit Chowdhry • Today at 5:47 PM

Titan SA announced that it has completed the acquisition of 100% of Traçim Çimento, expanding the company’s presence in the greater Istanbul region, one of Türkiye’s fastest-growing cement markets.

The transaction follows an agreement first announced in December 2025 and includes a modern, fully integrated cement plant with an annual production capacity of approximately 2.5 million tonnes. The facility serves a rapidly growing domestic market while also providing export opportunities to neighboring countries and the United States.

The Traçim operation also holds permits for a second integrated production line that could add another 2.5 million tonnes of annual cement capacity. Once developed, this expansion would make the site the largest cement production plant within the TITAN Group portfolio.

The acquisition aligns with the company’s Forward 2029 strategy, which focuses on expanding production capacity, optimizing operational footprint, strengthening supply chains, and enhancing export flexibility.

Alongside the cement acquisition, TITAN has also signed an agreement with Caba Energy Group to form a joint venture for a 100 megawatt solar power project currently under construction. TITAN will invest €34 million for a 50% stake in the project.

Following completion of the solar facility and integration of the cement business, the acquisition is expected to contribute more than €120 million in sales and over €50 million in EBITDA by 2027. The company also expects the deal to be accretive to earnings per share, with additional performance improvements anticipated from operational synergies in the coming years.

TITAN Group operates in more than 25 markets across four continents and employs more than 6,000 people. The company maintains strong market positions in the United States, Europe, and the Eastern Mediterranean, and continues to pursue growth through strategic acquisitions and investments in sustainable infrastructure materials.
