TNS Completes Acquisition Of BT Radianz, Expanding Global Financial Markets Connectivity

Transaction Network Services (TNS) has completed its acquisition of BT’s Radianz business, bringing together two established providers of connectivity services used by financial institutions and market participants worldwide. The transaction expands TNS’s Financial Markets offering and is intended to broaden access to trading venues, market data, applications, and counterparties, while adding further scale to its global network footprint.

Radianz has served the global financial community for more than two decades with secure connectivity that links thousands of participants and financial applications. Under the deal, the business will now operate as part of TNS’s global Financial Markets platform, where it is expected to complement TNS’s existing ultra-low-latency trading connectivity, market data distribution, and hosting capabilities.

TNS said the combined platform will aim to deliver expanded reach and service capabilities while maintaining the network and platform diversity that customers rely on for resilience and operational choice. The company also noted it plans to welcome Radianz clients, employees, and partners into its broader ecosystem as it invests in the joint business going forward.

Advisers on the deal included Evercore as financial adviser and Jones Day as legal adviser to TNS, and Citi as financial adviser and Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner as legal adviser to BT. TNS, founded in 1990, provides Infrastructure-as-a-Service solutions across financial, communications, and payments markets, and has been wholly owned by Koch Equity Development LLC since 2021.
