TO THE NEW and CloudKeeper have appointed Somnath Adak as Group Chief Financial Officer, strengthening the leadership of the affiliated technology businesses as they expand globally.
Adak will be based in Singapore and oversee the group’s finance and legal functions across Singapore, India, the U.S., U.K., UAE and Australia.
He will work with the companies’ boards and leadership teams on financial strategy, legal structure and initiatives supporting the continued expansion of their digital engineering, cloud, FinOps and AI businesses.
Adak brings approximately 20 years of experience in finance, strategy and business leadership across India, Australia and Singapore.
Before joining TO THE NEW and CloudKeeper, he spent nine years at Singapore-listed Asian Pay Television Trust, including two years as CEO and seven years as CFO. During his tenure, he worked with the board on debt reduction, balance-sheet improvements and expansion of the company’s broadband business.
Earlier in his career, Adak held positions at Macquarie, ITC Limited and Grant Thornton.
TO THE NEW is an AI-native digital engineering business with more than 2,200 engineers, over 100 global clients, more than 25 client locations and six global delivery centers.
CloudKeeper provides cloud and AI cost optimization services and has worked with more than 400 companies, helping customers reduce cloud and AI spending by an average of 20%, according to the company.
