Tonic Security, a cybersecurity startup that helps teams cut through noise and complexity, has launched from stealth with $7 million in seed funding. Hetz Ventures led the seed round, with support from Vesey Ventures and industry angels.
Led by experts Sharon Isaaci (CEO), David Warshavski (CPO), and Greg Ainbinder (CTO), Tonic addresses the overload of alerts from multiple tools that security teams face as attack surfaces expand. Its AI platform aligns data from fragmented IT and security tools, adding context to help teams prioritize and resolve vulnerabilities more efficiently.
Powered by AI agents and Data Fabric, Tonic combines threat intelligence and organizational data like tickets, documents, and emails. This helps users understand the impact, dependencies, accountability, and feasibility of remediation, enabling more intelligent prioritization, noise reduction, and swift action.
Customers see measurable benefits:
- 50% reduction in MTTR for critical exposures
- 20% decrease in weekly findings triage time
- 90% fewer exposures needing remediation
Major enterprises, including Fortune 500 companies, rely on Tonic to:
- Shorten vulnerability and alert triage windows
- Cut false positives, reduce tool pivots, and improve stakeholder collaboration
- Increase efficiency, reduce dependence on manual and homegrown systems
- Shift from technical scores to a business-oriented security view
Before Tonic, Isaaci was an executive at Sygnia and CISO for the IDF. Warshavski led Sygnia’s Red Team and Enterprise Security, working with Fortune 500 CISOs. Ainbinder held senior roles at Israel’s elite intelligence unit 8200, founding its AI and Cloud centers.
KEY QUOTES:
“Before starting Tonic, I was increasingly frustrated with the ‘writing on the wall’. As a CISO, incident responder and trusted advisor to many Fortune 500 companies, I witnessed first-hand how most security breaches could’ve been prevented in hindsight. They were often the direct result of a known exposure that was mis-prioritized and then exploited by the threat actors before being fixed by the defenders. No one was outpatching the adversaries!”
“This realization is what led us to build Tonic. Tonic is addressing the root cause of the problem, by introducing the first context-driven Exposure Management Platform that eliminates the cacophony caused by dozens of disparate tools, and provides the clarity, focus and business context security teams need to proactively protect their organizations.”
Sharon Isaaci
“Tonic is a game-changer. It used to take days to identify an exposed asset and understand the potential risk to the business if exploited. With Tonic it takes minutes.”
Mark Fournier, CIO and CISO of the United States Senate Federal Credit Union
“Security teams are drowning in data but starving for context. What stood out with Tonic is their ability to surface what actually matters to the business by applying AI in a pragmatic and operational way. Tonic helps organizations move from reactive firefighting to intelligent preemption. That’s the kind of innovative thinking we back.”
