TopBuild, a leading installer of insulation and commercial roofing and a specialty distributor of insulation and related building products in the United States and Canada, has entered into an agreement to acquire Johnson Roofing, one of the largest commercial roofing installation services companies in Texas, with approximately $29 million in annual revenue.
Founded in 1941 in Waco, Texas, Johnson Roofing is a third-generation roofing company serving commercial roofing projects across Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. The acquisition supports TopBuild’s strategy to expand its commercial roofing services platform and deepen its presence in key regional markets.
The transaction will strengthen TopBuild’s footprint in Central Texas and broaden its ability to serve general contractor customers in what the company describes as a large and highly fragmented commercial roofing market. Johnson Roofing will join TopBuild’s commercial roofing operations, including Progressive Roofing.
TopBuild, headquartered in Daytona Beach, Florida, provides insulation and commercial roofing installation services nationwide through its Installation Services segment, which operates more than 200 branches across the United States. Its Specialty Distribution business distributes building and mechanical insulation, insulation accessories, and related products through a network of more than 250 branches across the United States and Canada.
