TowerBrook Partners With Rael To Scale Women’s Wellness Brand Across 40,000+ Retail Doors

TowerBrook Capital Partners has entered a strategic partnership with women’s wellness company Rael to accelerate the brand’s expansion across retail channels, products, and international markets. Rael focuses on holistic cycle care and offers feminine care, skincare, and hormonal wellness products.

Founded in 2017 by three Korean American women, the Los Angeles-based company combines Korean product innovation with a broader women’s wellness strategy spanning different stages of life.

CEO and Co-Founder Yanghee Paik will continue leading Rael as the company works with TowerBrook to expand distribution, develop additional products and reach more consumers globally.

John Replogle has also been appointed Chair of Rael’s board.

Replogle previously served as CEO of Burt’s Bees and Seventh Generation and earlier led Unilever’s North American skin care business.

Rael currently reaches more than 40,000 retail doors across the U.S. and Korea.

Its retail distribution includes Target, Walmart, Ulta Beauty, CVS and Walgreens.

The company has also held the No. 1 position in sanitary pads on Amazon for the past six years and ranks among the top-selling feminine care brands at Olive Young in Korea.

TowerBrook plans to support Rael’s expansion using its experience scaling founder-led consumer businesses.

The investment was supported by co-investors.

Jefferies served as financial advisor to Rael, with Sidley Austin acting as legal advisor. Benesch advised TowerBrook.

TowerBrook manages more than $30 billion in assets and has invested in more than 125 companies since its founding in 2000.
