Trane Technologies announced that it has completed the acquisition of LiquidStack, a global leader in liquid cooling technology for data centers headquartered in Carrollton, Texas. The transaction was previously announced on February 10, 2026.

The acquisition strengthens Trane Technologies’ position as a full-service provider of advanced and sustainable thermal management solutions for mission-critical operations. By integrating LiquidStack’s technology, the company aims to expand its portfolio of data center cooling solutions designed to support increasingly demanding computing environments.

The combined capabilities are expected to create a broader platform for cooling solutions that scale from central plant infrastructure to chip-level systems. This approach is designed to help customers address rapidly rising computing power densities driven by artificial intelligence and other high-performance workloads.

LiquidStack brings technologies such as high-density liquid cooling, direct-to-chip cooling, and immersion cooling. These solutions are widely used in hyperscale data centers and high-performance computing environments where traditional air cooling systems may be insufficient.

By combining Trane Technologies’ global thermal management expertise with LiquidStack’s advanced cooling systems, the company expects to deliver a more comprehensive suite of cooling solutions designed to improve efficiency, reliability, and sustainability for data center operators worldwide.

The acquisition also follows Trane Technologies’ broader strategy to expand its presence in data center infrastructure and mission-critical cooling technologies as AI-driven computing demand continues to grow.
