TransDigm Group has completed its acquisition of Prince & Izant for approximately $1.066 billion in cash, including certain tax benefits. Prince & Izant was previously a portfolio company of Industrial Growth Partners, and TransDigm funded the transaction using cash on hand.

The transaction was initially announced on July 27, 2026, and expands TransDigm’s exposure to highly engineered materials and components used in aerospace, defense, turbines, and transportation.

Cleveland-based Prince & Izant designs and manufactures highly engineered brazing alloys and specialty metal components used in applications where performance requirements and the cost of component failure are particularly high.

The company primarily serves the aerospace and defense, aeroderivative turbine, and transportation markets, with additional exposure to medical and general industrial customers. Within aerospace and defense, its materials are used in applications including aircraft engine fuel nozzles and rocket engines.

Prince & Izant generates the majority of its revenue from the aftermarket and supports a large global installed base. Its portfolio includes nearly 10,000 active SKUs, with a majority of revenue generated from specialty metals that include gold, silver, and platinum alloys.

The business is now expected to generate approximately $390 million in revenue for the calendar year ending December 31, 2026.

Prince & Izant operates manufacturing facilities in Cleveland, Ohio; Tinley Park, Illinois; Franksville, Wisconsin; and Bay Shore, New York, and employs approximately 220 people.

The acquisition adds another proprietary, highly engineered product portfolio to TransDigm, whose subsidiaries supply components used across nearly all commercial and military aircraft currently in service.
