Translucent AI: $7 Million Raised For Healthcare Finance Platform

By Amit Chowdhry ● Aug 8, 2025

Translucent AI, a financial platform powered by AI and designed for healthcare operators, has announced a $7 million seed round funded by NEA, Virtue, FPV, and Redesign Health. Due to increasing financial difficulties within the healthcare sector, more provider organizations have been operating at a loss.

Established in 2024, Translucent aims to address these issues by supporting finance teams with complex requirements. The platform is designed to provide financial performance insights tailored to healthcare operations, incorporating service line economics, adapting to customer-specific business logic, and functioning within large-scale organizations. Provider organizations process approximately $2.5 trillion annually, presenting substantial potential for measurable outcomes.

Despite attempts to expand finance teams, many CFOs continue to face significant hiring and retention challenges. Since its launch in 2024, Translucent has been used by healthcare organizations that collectively manage over $5 billion in revenue.

KEY QUOTES:

“As a healthcare operator myself, I have seen the overwhelming work that provider finance teams face. They’re buried in spreadsheets, handle manual data pulls, and struggle to deliver timely, actionable insights to operators. We’re solving this by giving every operator a personalized AI analyst—one that can surface insights, build reports and help manage the business in real time. This allows organizations to focus on strategic, long-term decisions that benefit their patients and improve their margins.”

Jack O’Hara, CEO and co-founder of Translucent

“We’ve tracked the healthcare agentic-AI category closely and what became clear to us during our first meeting with Jack and his team was the incredible product that they’ve built and the critical pain point that they are solving. Across our extensive healthcare services portfolio, we’ve seen first-hand the product market fit of the Translucent platform and are thrilled to be partnering with Jack, Max and the team.”

Blake Wu, Partner at NEA

“It has always been an incredibly difficult, manual and time-consuming task to understand and take action on the nuances of real-time financials for healthcare organizations of our size. Translucent AI changed this overnight by giving our finance and operations teams access to immediate, actionable insights that were previously out of reach. In today’s healthcare environment, that kind of efficiency is not a luxury, it is a necessity to keep our business moving forward.”
