TransPerfect, a provider of language and AI solutions for global business, has acquired Omnimago GmbH, a German film restoration and post-production studio. Omnimago will join TransPerfect Media, the company’s media and entertainment division. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Founded in 1983, Omnimago is known for film restoration work spanning nitrate film, archive materials, and heritage collections. The company also provides post-production and media accessibility services for broadcasters, studios, distributors, and cultural institutions.
TransPerfect said the deal expands TransPerfect Media’s studio footprint in Germany and strengthens its broader European presence. The company also said that adding Omnimago extends its global restoration capabilities, allowing it to offer film scanning and restoration services from facilities in France, Italy, the United States, and Germany.
Omnimago will continue operating from its headquarters in Ingelheim. Managing Director Michael Dienes will remain with the business and join TransPerfect Media’s management team.
