TransPerfect announced it has acquired Studio Emme SpA, a Rome-based audiovisual post-production and dubbing facility, further expanding its global media footprint. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Studio Emme will operate as part of TransPerfect Media, the company’s media and entertainment division. The acquisition strengthens TransPerfect’s network of studios and enhances its ability to serve global content creators with localization, dubbing, and post-production services.
Founded in 1982, Studio Emme has played a significant role in Italy’s entertainment industry for more than four decades, delivering dubbing and post-production services across film, television, and commercial projects. The company works with major broadcasters, studios, and international distribution partners, and is a member of the Trusted Partner Network, which sets security standards for content handling.
Following the acquisition, Studio Emme will continue operating from its Rome headquarters, with its existing leadership team remaining in place. The integration is expected to support international growth while maintaining the studio’s established reputation for quality and technical expertise.
The transaction aligns with TransPerfect’s broader strategy of combining AI-driven technology with creative services to scale global content production and distribution. Through TransPerfect Media, the company operates a network of studios across 19 countries, offering services including dubbing, subtitling, voiceover, accessibility, and post-production.
By adding Studio Emme’s capabilities and regional expertise, TransPerfect aims to further strengthen its position in the global media localization and production market.
