Traysar Raises $25 Million To Build Subterranean Defense Technology

By Amit Chowdhry • Jun 18, 2026

Traysar announced that it has raised $25 million in seed funding and has emerged from stealth as a defense technology company focused on the subterranean domain. The round was led by Silent Ventures, with participation from Lux Capital, Ora Global, and strategic angel investors, including Steve Blank and founders from Anduril and Erebor. Additional investors included NeverLift VC, Mana, Impatient Ventures, New Vista, and Entree Capital.

Traysar publicly launched at the 2026 Reindustrialize Summit, introducing autonomous “subterra” platforms designed to operate beneath the Earth’s surface. The company is focused on helping U.S. and allied forces detect, access, map, and secure underground facilities and tunnel networks.

The company said the subterranean threat environment is expanding as adversaries invest in underground infrastructure to protect military assets, command systems, leadership, weapons, and strategic facilities. Traysar cited the U.S. Army’s estimate that more than 10,000 known military facilities are hidden underground worldwide.

Traysar is building autonomous platforms for military boring, tunnel breaching, tactical exploration, and underground infrastructure protection. Its technology is designed to address underground networks and deeply buried facilities that can be difficult to detect, access, strike, or keep disabled using traditional military capabilities.

The company’s initial platforms include an excavator-class autonomous tunnel breaching and tactical exploration system that can navigate, map, and clear contested underground networks. Traysar is also developing a high-speed, rapid-burrowing autonomous platform designed to create precision subterranean access points and deliver critical payloads below the surface.

Traysar said the same underground domain used by adversaries to protect assets can also be used by allied forces to harden bases, protect manufacturing, and preserve logistics during attacks. The company is building technologies for both offensive access and defensive infrastructure survivability.

The engineering team includes early engineers from SpaceX and The Boring Company. Traysar was co-founded by Yadin Soffer, Asher Katz, and Gilad Adin and is headquartered in Austin, Texas.

The seed funding will support continued development of Traysar’s autonomous subterranean systems and help the company expand its role in a defense market increasingly focused on hardened infrastructure, survivability, and new domains of maneuver.

KEY QUOTES:

“For decades, we have allowed a massive capability gap to widen beneath our feet. Our message to adversaries is clear: there is no place to hide. Traysar’s mission is to expose every subterranean threat and equip the armies of the free world to fight in this new-yet-ancient dimension.”

Yadin Soffer, Co-Founder and CEO of Traysar

“Traysar is pioneering the doctrine and developing the technology required for U.S. military supremacy across the subterranean domain, a war-fighting realm steeped in history dating back to WWI, through the Vietnam Conflict, and is now quickly emerging as the defining 21st century battlefield.”
