Traza: $2.1 Million Raised To Automate Procurement And Supply Chain Operations With AI Workers

By Amit Chowdhry • Apr 20, 2026

Traza, an AI-native platform focused on automating procurement and supply chain operations for large manufacturers and construction companies, announced it has raised $2.1 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Base10 Partners, with participation from K Fund, Andreessen Horowitz scouts, Clara Ventures, Masia Ventures, and angel investors.

The New York-based company plans to use the funding to accelerate development of its AI agents, expand its engineering team, and deepen partnerships with enterprise customers across the United States.

Procurement and supply chain operations remain one of the most labor-intensive and under-automated areas in the industrial economy. While procurement software is a growing market valued at more than $8 billion, enterprises still rely heavily on manual processes, agencies, and workarounds to manage operations.

Most companies actively manage only their top suppliers, leaving a long tail of vendor outreach, request-for-quote management, order tracking, invoice reconciliation, and compliance tasks largely unaddressed due to operational complexity and cost constraints.

The financial impact is significant. Procurement contracts lose an average of 11% of their value after signing due to execution gaps, translating into tens of millions of dollars in losses annually for large enterprises.

Traza addresses this challenge by deploying AI workers that integrate directly into procurement workflows. These agents handle tasks such as vendor management, quoting, order tracking, supplier communication, and coordination across the supply chain, reducing reliance on manual labor.

Advancements in AI, including multi-step reasoning, tool use, and contextual memory, now enable these agents to autonomously execute full procurement workflows, from vendor discovery and RFQ generation to purchase order management and invoice processing.

Industry adoption is accelerating. A 2025 survey found that 76% of supply chain professionals believe autonomous AI agents are ready to manage core operational tasks, with early implementations reducing costs by 20% to 35%.

Traza was founded by Silvestre Jara Montes, Santiago Martínez Bragado, and Sergio Ayala Miñano, who bring experience across supply chain operations and AI system development. Their backgrounds include roles at companies such as Amazon, CMA CGM, Clarity AI, and StackAI.

The company positions itself at the intersection of industrial operations and next-generation AI, aiming to transform procurement from a fragmented, manual function into a fully automated, intelligent system.

KEY QUOTES:

“Supply chain and procurement is one of the largest, most underautomated markets in the Real Economy — and AI agents are finally capable of doing the work, not just assisting with it. Traza’s founders bring the rare combination of deep domain conviction and technical horsepower needed to build the category-defining company here.”

Rexhi Dollaku, General Partner, Base10 Partners

“AI is redesigning the procurement category from the ground up. This wave of AI won’t just build procurement software — it will rebuild how procurement works.”
