Tri-County Bancorp has completed its merger with Mayville Financial Corporation, combining two longstanding Michigan community banking organizations into a company with approximately $734 million in total assets.
Tri-County is the holding company for Tri-County Bank, while Mayville Financial is the holding company for Mayville State Bank.
The combination brings together institutions whose histories extend back more than 135 years.
Tri-County Bank opened in Brown City, Michigan in 1889, while Mayville State Bank was founded in 1885.
Based on financial information as of June 30, 2026, the combined organization has approximately $734 million in total assets, $559 million of loans and $631 million of deposits.
The two banks operate a combined 14 full-service offices across eastern Michigan and the Thumb region.
Tri-County previously operated 12 locations and reported approximately $639 million in assets as of June 30.
Mayville State Bank contributed approximately $95 million of assets and two branches in Michigan’s central Thumb region.
Customers will continue using their existing branch locations and working with the same local staff during the integration process.
Tri-County expects to complete the legal and operational integration of the banks during the fourth quarter of 2026.
Following that process, the combined banking operation will use the Tri-County Bank name.
The transaction expands Tri-County’s deposit, lending and branch platform while maintaining its focus on community banking throughout eastern Michigan.
Tri-County said it plans to provide additional information to customers as operational integration details are finalized.

FHN Financial Securities served as financial advisor to Mayville Financial, and Varnum acted as Mayville’s legal counsel.
