Trial Library: $10 Million Raised To Expand Access To Community-Based Clinical Trials

Trial Library has secured $10 million in Series A funding to accelerate its efforts to expand access to clinical trials within community healthcare settings. The round was co-led by Next Ventures and SemperVirens Venture Capital, with participation from Sanofi Ventures, Lux Capital, Civilization Ventures, Overwater Ventures, How Women Invest, and other backers.

The company said the new capital will support its mission to make clinical research a routine component of standard care by improving access for patients outside major academic medical centers. While the majority of cancer patients—about 85 percent—receive treatment in community settings, clinical trials have historically been concentrated in large research institutions. Trial Library aims to close that gap.

The San Francisco–based company has developed an AI-enabled platform that engages providers, identifies eligible patients, and guides them throughout the trial process. Trial Library currently operates across more than 320 clinics and works with more than 1,500 healthcare providers nationwide. It has also expanded collaborations with payers, including self-insured employers and health plans, to support trial access as a care benefit.

Investors say Trial Library is positioned at the intersection of a broader industry shift toward decentralized and community-based research models. The platform is also gaining traction with biopharmaceutical companies looking to speed recruitment and diversify participation in clinical studies.

The company plans to use the new funding to grow its clinic network, strengthen partnerships, and continue building the infrastructure required to make clinical trial access a standard option for patients across the United States.
