Tributary Group, a long-term investor focused on partnering with software and tech-enabled services businesses, announced a strategic investment in Softworks Group, a provider of regulatory and workforce software solutions for professional regulators and licensing bodies.
The investment expands Tributary’s growing portfolio of vertical market software and tech-enabled services companies and reinforces its strategy of backing founder-led businesses that deliver mission-critical solutions. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded more than 30 years ago, Softworks supports organizations navigating complex regulatory and workforce processes. Its flagship platform, Alinity, enables customers to streamline workflows, manage membership and licensing requirements, and enhance operational efficiency. The company serves regulatory organizations and enterprise customers across multiple industries, with more than 60 Canadian regulatory organizations using its software.
Tim Edlund will continue to lead Softworks as Founder and CEO, and the company’s team will remain based in Edmonton.
Tributary, which operates with a permanent capital base, said it aims to provide long-term resources and investment to its portfolio companies while preserving their legacy and team.
