Trimble announced it has signed an agreement to acquire Document Crunch, a provider of AI-powered document analysis and risk management solutions for the construction industry. The deal aims to enhance Trimble’s Construction One ecosystem with advanced document intelligence and compliance automation capabilities. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The acquisition will enable Trimble to integrate Document Crunch’s AI technology across its construction project management and ERP workflows, helping customers identify and mitigate risks such as payment disputes, contract inconsistencies, and compliance failures. The move reflects Trimble’s broader strategy of embedding high-value, AI-driven capabilities into its platform to improve efficiency and reduce costly project errors.
Document Crunch’s platform, deployed across more than 10,000 projects, analyzes construction contracts, surfaces critical risk provisions, automates compliance tracking, and streamlines documentation processes. Its tools help contractors, subcontractors, designers, and other stakeholders reduce administrative burdens while improving decision-making across the project lifecycle.
By incorporating Document Crunch’s “contractual rule set” into Trimble Construction One, the combined platform is expected to automatically push key obligations, compliance requirements, and payment terms directly into workflows, enabling more proactive risk management and operational alignment.
The acquisition is also expected to accelerate AI adoption within the construction sector, where increasing complexity and regulatory requirements are driving demand for automated solutions that can improve project outcomes and profitability.
Document Crunch will be integrated into Trimble’s AECO segment, and the transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2026. The deal is not anticipated to have a material impact on Trimble’s 2026 financial guidance.
