Trinity Consultants, a global consulting firm specializing in natural and built environments, announced its acquisition of Jaros, Baum & Bolles (JB&B), a renowned New York-based provider of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEP/FP) engineering services. The acquisition enhances Trinity’s Built Environment division, adding JB&B’s century-long legacy of engineering excellence to its expanding suite of solutions in acoustic design, commissioning, facility operations, and technology strategy.

JB&B will operate within Trinity’s Built Environment division, combining its reputation for designing complex, high-performance systems with Trinity’s comprehensive service offerings. Together, the firms aim to redefine engineering collaboration by delivering fully integrated, innovative solutions across commercial, healthcare, aviation, life sciences, and data center markets.

Founded in 1915, JB&B has completed more than 15,000 projects in over 50 countries, including iconic landmarks such as the World Trade Center redevelopment, the Perelman Performing Arts Center, the Hudson Yards complex, and John F. Kennedy International Airport’s New Terminal One. Its deep expertise in large-scale infrastructure and mission-critical facilities positions it as a premier partner in the modern built environment.

With this acquisition—Trinity’s largest in its 50-year history—the company strengthens its leadership and scale in the engineering consulting sector while reaffirming its commitment to innovation and growth. Walter Mehl, Jr., one of JB&B’s managing partners, will assume the role of Divisional President of Trinity’s Built Environment division.
