Troutman Pepper Locke has added Yuliya Feldman as a partner in its Insurance Transactional and Regulatory Practice Group in New York, strengthening the firm’s capabilities across insurance M&A, regulatory compliance, reinsurance and other complex transactions.

Feldman joins Troutman Pepper Locke from Mayer Brown, where she advised U.S. and international insurers, reinsurers, managing general agents, insurance intermediaries and service contract providers on regulatory, transactional and general corporate matters.

Her practice spans the full lifecycle of insurance operations, including formation and licensing, product development, structured reinsurance transactions, cybersecurity compliance, insurtech advisory work and joint venture agreements.

She has experience across the life and annuities, health, property and casualty, financial guaranty and title insurance sectors.

Feldman’s arrival adds to a series of recent partner hires within Troutman Pepper Locke’s insurance practice.

The firm recently welcomed Baird Allis, a former vice president and associate general counsel at Kemper Corporation, in Chicago. The group has also added J.P. Hong from Sidley Austin and Marisa Young from McDermott Will & Schulte.

Troutman Pepper Locke said Feldman’s addition is part of its broader effort to deepen its presence in New York while expanding its national insurance practice.

Her work also extends into emerging issues affecting insurers, including cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and National Association of Insurance Commissioners matters.

Feldman has been recognized by Legal 500 as a Rising Star, by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in New York for Business/Corporate Law, and by Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America in Insurance Law.

The firm’s Insurance Transactional and Regulatory Practice advises insurers, reinsurers, brokers and other industry participants across regulatory compliance, mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, restructurings and new market entries.
