True Green Capital Management announced that it has acquired approximately 20.3 megawatts DC of operating solar assets in the United Kingdom. The assets were acquired through one of True Green Capital’s managed private funds from Gresham House Renewable Energy VCT 1 PLC and VCT 2 PLC.

The acquisition includes six solar projects located across the United Kingdom. The projects have been operating since 2011.

Each project benefits from a 25-year Feed-in Tariff contracted through 2036, short-term power purchase agreements with established UK energy retailers, and Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin.

True Green Capital said the transaction marks its second take-private of UK-listed assets. The firm said it continues to see opportunities in this part of the market, supported by its sector knowledge, public market experience, and execution capabilities.

The firm also highlighted the importance of technical expertise as operating renewable energy assets mature. True Green Capital said its in-house asset management and repowering capabilities can help optimize performance and create additional value for investors.

True Green Capital Management is a renewable energy infrastructure fund manager focused on distributed power generation in the United States and Europe. The firm is based in Westport, Connecticut, and has an office in London.

Founded in 2011, True Green Capital has invested over $2.3 billion into distributed solar power generation and storage assets across 18 U.S. states, the United Kingdom, and France.
