Trustap announced that it has raised $10 million in a new internal funding round led by Aperture Capital, with participation from TX Ventures and existing investors.
The company has built a platform that processes hundreds of millions of dollars in transactions for marketplaces and e-commerce brands worldwide. Trustap has established itself as a commerce infrastructure provider focused on helping marketplaces and e-commerce companies improve EBITDA margins.
Building on that foundation, Trustap is now expanding into AI-driven commerce. The company believes shopping behavior is shifting as consumers increasingly rely on AI shopping agents to make purchasing decisions rather than manually browsing websites.
To support this transition, Trustap is developing Trustap Index, a platform designed to convert fragmented, human-oriented marketplace and e-commerce listings into consolidated, machine-readable data. The company said this infrastructure enables AI models to manage product discovery, negotiations, and secure payments on behalf of consumers.
Trustap’s escrow-style transaction infrastructure is intended to ensure that AI-led commerce transactions maintain the same level of trust and security as transactions conducted by humans.
The company said Trustap Index is currently accepting waitlist submissions as it prepares for broader adoption.
