Tutor Perini Corporation announced that it has been awarded a task order valued at approximately $651.8 million by the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Pacific for Project P-1181, Harden Critical Feeders on Naval Base Guam.
The contract was awarded under NAVFAC Pacific’s Facilities and Infrastructure Multiple Award Construction Contract. The project is intended to modernize and strengthen critical power infrastructure at Naval Base Guam by replacing existing primary and secondary overhead electrical distribution feeders with new underground circuit conductors installed within concrete-encased duct banks. The work is designed to improve the resiliency and reliability of the electrical system supporting facilities on the base.
The project will be executed through a joint venture involving Tutor Perini and its Guam-based wholly owned subsidiary, Black Construction Corporation.
Design work is scheduled to begin in August 2026, with construction expected to start in April 2027. Substantial completion is anticipated in June 2031. The value of the task order will be included in the company’s backlog for the second quarter of 2026.
Tutor Perini said the award marks another significant project in Guam as the company continues pursuing additional opportunities across Guam and the broader Indo-Pacific region.
