TypeSafe Raises $870 Million Series A At $7.5 Billion Valuation To Expand Jev’s Capabilities

TypeSafe raised $870 million in Series A financing at a $7.5 billion valuation, with Andreessen Horowitz leading the round. Sequoia Capital also participated alongside existing investor DCVC and a group of angel investors, giving the company substantial new capital to accelerate development of Jev, its platform for building intelligent software.

TypeSafe plans to use the financing to expand Jev’s capabilities as demand grows for tools that help developers create and deploy AI-powered applications.

The company intends to develop additional machine-native models designed to support more sophisticated software development and automation workflows.

TypeSafe is also expanding the underlying infrastructure available to developers using Jev, with the goal of supporting larger workloads and more complex applications as adoption increases.

Enterprise development represents another major area of investment. TypeSafe plans to add capabilities designed for large organizations, where security, reliability, scalability, governance, and integration requirements can be particularly demanding.

The company said approximately one-third of Fortune 500 companies are already using Jev, highlighting its growing presence among large enterprises.

TypeSafe also said its technology has saved customers millions of dollars in production environments.

The new financing will support continued investment across product development, model development, infrastructure, and enterprise expansion as TypeSafe works to broaden Jev’s adoption.

Martin Casado is joining TypeSafe’s board as part of the financing.

The $7.5 billion valuation and participation from several major venture investors position TypeSafe with significant resources as it seeks to establish Jev as a broader platform for building intelligent software.
