Uber Technologies and SpotHero announced they have reached an agreement for Uber to acquire SpotHero, adding parking reservations to the Uber app as the ride-hailing and mobility platform expands its travel offerings.

Founded in 2011, SpotHero has grown into a leading parking reservation app, enabling millions of drivers to find and book affordable parking at more than 13,000 garages, lots, and valet locations across more than 400 cities in the U.S. and Canada. The company has facilitated over $2 billion in parking reservations.

Uber plans to integrate a native, in-app parking reservation experience powered by SpotHero. The feature will focus on commuter parking as well as reservations at events, venues, and airports. Over time, Uber One members are also expected to receive parking-related benefits as part of their subscription.

For parking operators currently working with SpotHero, the transaction is expected to provide access to Uber’s broad consumer base, along with its network of vehicle charging and fleet partners.

The acquisition remains subject to regulatory approval and other customary closing conditions and is expected to close in the first half of 2026.

Founded in 2010, Uber has facilitated more than 72 billion trips globally and continues to expand its platform across mobility, delivery, and logistics. SpotHero operates as a digital parking marketplace across North America, partnering with parking operators to help drive visibility and digital revenue growth.
