Uber Technologies announced it has agreed to acquire Blacklane, marking a major step in its push into luxury and executive travel.

Founded in Berlin in 2011, Blacklane provides premium chauffeur services through an app and web platform, connecting customers with local drivers in more than 500 cities across over 60 countries. The company has built a reputation among corporate clients and high-end travelers seeking consistent, pre-booked transportation.

The deal reflects Uber’s growing focus on premium mobility, particularly as demand rises for scheduled and higher-quality ride experiences. The company highlighted strong growth in its pre-booked Uber Reserve product, which has become one of the fastest-growing segments of its mobility business. The acquisition is also expected to complement Uber’s recently introduced premium offering, Uber Elite.

Once completed, the combination will bring together Blacklane’s luxury service expertise with Uber’s global scale and technology platform, with the goal of expanding high-end transportation options worldwide.

The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions and is expected to close by the end of 2026.
