Uber Technologies and Abu Dhabi sovereign investor Mubadala Investment Company said they have reached an agreement under which Uber will acquire Getir’s delivery portfolio in Türkiye, a transaction that includes food, grocery, retail, and water delivery and remains subject to regulatory approval and other customary closing conditions.
The companies framed the deal as an expansion of Uber’s long-running push in Türkiye and as the next stage in Getir’s development in its home market. Once the transaction closes, Uber said it plans to integrate Getir’s operations with Trendyol Go delivery under the Uber umbrella, with the goal of expanding consumer selection, increasing delivery opportunities for couriers, and driving incremental demand for restaurants and retailers nationwide.
Under the planned operating approach outlined in the announcement, Getir customers would continue to use the Getir Super App for delivery and gain access to more restaurants via Trendyol Go. Trendyol Go customers, in turn, would be able to access Getir’s grocery offerings directly through the Trendyol Go app.
Mubadala, which has backed Getir, positioned the transaction as validation of Getir’s progress and the underlying strength of the Türkiye business, while reiterating its continued interest in investing in the country. Getir’s leadership described the agreement as a milestone for the company and highlighted an intention to bring Getir’s ultrafast delivery capabilities into Uber’s broader ecosystem as part of the combined platform strategy.
