UBS announced it has hired financial advisors Mark Lilley and Gabriel Trigo in San Juan, Puerto Rico, adding the team to its Puerto Rico Market. UBS said the Puerto Rico Market is led by Regional Director Ricardo Gonzalez, Market Executive Carlos “Juany” Ortiz and Market Director Roberto Fortuno.

Lilley joined from Merrill Lynch, where he spent more than 15 years advising individuals, families and institutions on complex financial decisions. UBS said Lilley began his career at PaineWebber in 1996 and brings 30 years of industry experience, with a background that includes portfolio construction, risk management and long-term planning, serving clients in Puerto Rico.

UBS said Trigo also joined from Merrill Lynch, where he spent the last five years, and brings more than a decade of experience in the financial industry. UBS said Trigo’s practice has focused on asset allocation, cross-border advisory work, and global investment strategy, shaped by work with domestic and international clients.

UBS said the team includes Senior Registered Client Associate Ivelisse Moreno Guzman, who joined alongside Lilley and Trigo. The firm framed the additions as strengthening its local advisory presence and deepening capabilities for clients with complex planning and investment needs, including those with cross-border considerations. UBS also emphasized that both advisors bring experience serving individual, family, and institutional clients and said the team’s approach is oriented toward disciplined planning and a global market perspective tailored to the island’s client base.
