UCC Environmental Acquires Cast Steel Products To Expand Mining And Steel Performance Parts Platform

UCC Environmental has acquired Cast Steel Products, expanding its performance parts business across mining, steel and other heavy industrial markets. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Edmonton, Alberta-based Cast Steel Products has more than 30 years of experience supplying engineered cast, forged and fabricated wear-, abrasion- and heat-resistant products to OEM and aftermarket customers.

The company serves mining, oil sands, steel, aluminum, cement, power generation and railway markets.

Its product portfolio includes pallet and sinter cars used in iron ore pelletizing and sintering plants, high-pressure grinding roll components, crusher liners, wear plates and other complex castings designed for high-temperature and high-wear environments.

CSP operates sales, engineering and fabrication facilities in Edmonton and Montreal as well as St. Petersburg, Florida.

The acquisition broadens UCC’s range of alloys, wear-resistant materials and engineered components.

UCC expects its global engineering capabilities and project execution network to open additional markets for CSP, while existing UCC customers gain access to CSP’s specialized castings.

The transaction also builds on UCC’s acquisition of Trimay Wear Plate.

Together, the businesses are intended to create a broader performance parts platform capable of supporting OEM and aftermarket requirements across demanding industrial environments.

UCC has operated since 1920 and provides solids handling, water treatment, pollution control and performance-related technologies across power generation, mining and heavy industry.

The company supports customers and installations across six continents.
