Undecimal Bio launched with an oversubscribed $18 million seed financing to advance its AI-enabled platform for targeted delivery of siRNA therapeutics beyond the liver. The company is a spin-out from Eleven Therapeutics and will use the funding to expand DELiveri, its proprietary platform for identifying conjugates capable of directing RNA medicines to specific cell types. The round was co-led by 4BIO Capital and IQ Capital. Additional investors included Verve Ventures, Harel Tech, Entree Capital, Kerna Ventures, and Saras Capital.
Undecimal is focused on addressing one of the main limitations in RNA interference therapeutics: delivering siRNA effectively to tissues outside the liver.
The company’s DELiveri platform screens large-scale combinatorial libraries of candidate ligands and is designed to identify molecules capable of transporting siRNA into targeted cells.
Undecimal said its technology converts cells into molecular detection systems that can measure productive delivery at single-molecule resolution.
The resulting high-throughput data is then analyzed using agentic AI to interpret structure-activity relationships and rank promising conjugates.
The company is initially applying the platform to renovascular diseases.
Undecimal said current treatments in these indications often focus on symptoms rather than underlying disease drivers, while targeted siRNA delivery could enable more precise and durable suppression of disease-related pathways.
The seed financing will support continued development of the DELiveri platform, advancement of Undecimal’s renovascular programs, and expansion of its team.
The company is operating laboratories at the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute.
Undecimal has also entered into several research collaborations with large pharmaceutical companies, although the partners have not yet been disclosed.
The company’s Board of Directors includes representatives from 4BIO Capital, IQ Capital, and Harel Technologies, alongside co-founders Dr. Yaniv Erlich and Shaul Ilan.
Verve Ventures will also join the Board as an observer.
KEY QUOTES:
“The hard problem in RNAi was never the silencing, it was getting the molecule to the right cell. Our in-vivo validated DELiveri platform can screen large chemical spaces at an unprecedented pace, generating massive data for our legions of AI agents to decipher the structure-activity relationship and score the best candidates. We are excited to bring these advances to develop the next generation of siRNA therapeutics for the benefit of patients.”
Dr. Yaniv Erlich, CEO and Co-Founder of Undecimal Bio
