Unifi Aviation announced it has acquired Viggo, a Dutch ground handling company with more than 50 years of operating history, marking Unifi’s move into continental Europe and extending its footprint beyond North America, the United Kingdom, and Ireland.

The deal adds operations at two key airports in the Netherlands, with Viggo providing passenger, baggage, and ramp handling services at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and Eindhoven Airport. Unifi said Viggo supports more than 80,000 flights annually for European and international airlines.

Unifi framed the acquisition as part of a broader global growth strategy and said Viggo’s people-first culture and emphasis on operational excellence align with Unifi’s stated purpose of “Elevate People” for both employees and passengers. The company said the combination is intended to provide airline partners with greater stability, expertise, and resources while maintaining existing service standards.

Viggo CEO Martijn Limburg will continue to lead the company’s operations following the acquisition and will work with Unifi and Argenbright Group leadership to support continuity for customers, partners, and employees.

Unifi, headquartered in Atlanta, said it is the largest ground handling provider in North America, with more than 45,000 employees servicing over four million flights annually at more than 240 airports. Viggo, founded in 1974, said it has supported airlines and airports in the Netherlands for decades, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer care at major Dutch hubs.
