Union Home Mortgage Acquires AmeriTrust Origination Assets To Expand Non-QM And Wholesale Lending

Union Home Mortgage has acquired the mortgage origination assets of AmeriTrust Mortgage Corporation. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The acquisition adds AmeriTrust’s existing retail branches, wholesale broker relationships and corresponding sales channels to Union Home Mortgage. The transaction is intended to strengthen Union Home’s position in third-party origination and expand its non-qualified mortgage capabilities.

Union Home Mortgage is currently the seventh-largest wholesale mortgage lender in the United States, according to the company. Wholesale lenders originate loans through independent mortgage brokers rather than working directly with every borrower.

AmeriTrust specializes in non-qualified mortgages, commonly known as non-QM loans. These products are designed for borrowers who may not meet the standard documentation or underwriting requirements associated with traditional qualified mortgages.

Potential non-QM borrowers include self-employed individuals, real estate investors and consumers with income structures that are difficult to verify using conventional tax documents. These loans may rely on alternative information such as bank statements, rental income or property cash flow.

Union Home expects AmeriTrust’s experience and broker relationships to significantly expand its non-QM operations. The company also plans to introduce AmeriTrust’s partners and employees to its existing lending, servicing and technology infrastructure.

The transaction continues a period of acquisition-driven growth for Union Home Mortgage. The company acquired Sierra Pacific Mortgage and Nations Reliable Lending in 2025.

Following the latest acquisition, Union Home said it will be positioned to reach an annual origination run rate of approximately $20 billion. An annual run rate estimates future yearly volume based on a company’s current level of business activity.

Union Home operates retail, wholesale and direct-to-consumer mortgage channels. The privately held company also services loans internally and maintains branches across 48 states and Washington, D.C.

AmeriTrust President Chad Schoep said the company has experienced significant growth during the past three years and established a strong presence in the non-QM market. Union Home’s capital, operating resources and national platform are expected to support further expansion.

Both companies emphasized their shared focus on integrity, transparency, workplace culture and long-term partnerships. The organizations have also previously been recognized by Scotsman Guide among leading mortgage lenders.
