United Building Solutions, a commercial HVAC services provider backed by AE Industrial Partners, has acquired DFW Mechanical Group, a full-service commercial and industrial mechanical contractor with operations spanning Texas, Oklahoma, Georgia, and Florida.
The deal pushes United Building Solutions’ reach deeper into fast-growing Southern markets as building owners invest in specialized facility management, energy efficiency, and system performance. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Headquartered in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, United Building Solutions said the acquisition broadens its capabilities and strengthens coverage across the Southeast and South-Central U.S., complementing its existing presence in the Northeast.
DFW Mechanical is based in Wylie, Texas, and provides commercial HVAC services alongside plumbing, heating, and piping work. The business will operate as a division of United Building Solutions and will continue to be led by President Brett Thomas, who has more than 30 years of industry experience.
The transaction marks United Building Solutions’ second add-on acquisition since AE Industrial Partners invested in the platform in February 2025. At that time, the company was established as a national commercial HVAC services platform with the concurrent acquisition of North Florida-based Total Comfort Solutions. With the addition of DFW Mechanical, the company now reports an expanded footprint across the Southeast and South-Central United States in addition to its Northeastern coverage.
AE Industrial Partners said the acquisition positions United Building Solutions to benefit from continued demand for HVAC modernization, building performance improvements, and operational efficiency as HVAC systems become increasingly central to facility reliability and asset preservation.
United Building Solutions said it provides HVAC, building analytics, and building controls solutions through multiple operating brands and has served more than 2,000 customers over more than three decades. DFW Mechanical described its core focus as complex industrial HVAC service, upgrades and retrofits, and 24-hour emergency response supported by warranty-backed programs.
