United Flow: Strategic Growth Funding Secured From Berkshire Partners

By Amit Chowdhry • Dec 15, 2025

United Flow Technologies, a technical distributor and solutions provider serving municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment markets, has received a strategic growth investment from Boston-based Berkshire Partners as the company looks to expand its footprint and deepen support for customers and manufacturer partners across the United States.

The company said the partnership is intended to support continued growth, including expanded resources for service and support, additional opportunities for team members, and further efforts to help communities build and maintain safe and reliable water systems. UFT’s leadership team, including CEO Matt Hart, will continue to lead the business and remain significant investors.

H.I.G. Capital, which invested in the United Flow Technologies platform in 2021, will retain a minority investment and continue to support the business through its next phase. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Headquartered in Irving, Texas, UFT describes itself as a platform that unites multiple operating companies around a shared mission to protect and enhance water resources. The company said its product and solutions portfolio spans process equipment, pumps, flow control, and automation and control systems, supported by technical expertise and long-standing industry relationships. UFT said its approach is rooted in more than a century of market knowledge and a focus on selecting products and brands intended to meet the operational requirements of water and wastewater systems.

Berkshire Partners said it is backing a platform that combines technical expertise, a broad solutions suite, and trusted relationships in the essential infrastructure segment. UFT and its investors positioned the transaction as a continuation of the company’s evolution into a scaled national provider within the water and wastewater sector, where municipalities and industrial operators continue to prioritize reliability, compliance, and resiliency.

Support: Advisors on the transaction included Harris Williams and Solomon Partners as financial advisors to United Flow Technologies. King & Spalding LLP represented H.I.G. Capital and United Flow Technologies as legal counsel. William Blair served as Berkshire Partners’ exclusive financial advisor, and Ropes & Gray LLP served as Berkshire’s legal counsel.
