The Stephen M. Ross School of Business Executive Education and Michigan Engineering Professional Education, both at the University of Michigan, in collaboration with Emeritus, announced that they have launched the Chief Data and AI Officer (CDAIO) Program. This five-month multimodular program enables senior executives to develop AI-driven business strategies, enhance data governance, and lead digital transformation within their organizations. Enrollment is now open for the program starting on June 24, 2025.

With AI projected to contribute trillions to the global economy, organizations are increasingly appointing chief data and AI officers to drive digital transformation. iMerit reported that 74% of US organizations have already embraced the role.

The CDAIO Program addresses this shift by providing leaders with the expertise to navigate evolving AI landscapes, mitigate risks, and create data-driven growth strategies.

This program blends live online sessions with an immersive five-day on-campus module at the University of Michigan campus in Ann Arbor, Michigan. And it culminates in a capstone project that allows executives to apply their learning to a real-world AI and data challenge, delivering strategic solutions for their organizations. Upon completion of the deal, participants will be awarded a verified digital certificate from Michigan Ross Executive Education and Michigan Engineering.

KEY QUOTES:

“The CDAIO Program enables executives to bridge the gap between data, generative AI, and business strategy, preparing them to lead AI-driven transformation with confidence.
