Upwind has raised $400 million in Series C funding at a $3.8 billion valuation as the cloud and AI security company expands its platform for securing increasingly complex enterprise infrastructure and autonomous AI agents. The round was led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with participation from Canapi Ventures and existing investors Cyberstarts, Greylock Partners, Craft Ventures, Leaders Fund, Salesforce Ventures, TCV, Alta Park Capital, Penny Jar Capital, Cerca Partners, Swish Ventures, and Picture Capital.

The financing follows a period of rapid growth for Upwind. The company said revenue has quadrupled during 2026, while its valuation has increased significantly from the $1.5 billion valuation associated with its Series B round in January 2026.

Upwind plans to use the new capital to accelerate product development and expand its go-to-market organization as enterprises deploy more AI-powered applications and autonomous agents across cloud environments.

The company’s Cloud and AI Security Platform combines runtime intelligence across cloud workloads, APIs, and AI agents to help security, development, and DevOps teams identify critical risks, understand reachable exposures, remediate vulnerabilities, and detect attacks in real time.

Upwind is positioning its approach as an alternative to fragmented security architectures that rely heavily on static scans and disconnected alerts.

Its platform uses context from live environments to help determine which vulnerabilities represent meaningful risks and to provide greater visibility into how cloud infrastructure and AI agents are behaving.

Upwind is also developing specialized AI agents that can autonomously investigate threats, validate attack-surface findings through red-team-style testing, and remediate infrastructure risks at machine speed.

The company supports Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

Through an integration with AWS Security Hub, customers can access Upwind within the AWS console with simplified onboarding and unified billing.

Founded in 2022, Upwind now serves hundreds of organizations. Customers include Siemens, Roku, Carvana, Nubank, Supabase, and ClickUp.

The company said the latest financing will allow it to expand its capabilities as security teams face growing challenges from both AI-enabled attackers and autonomous agents operating inside enterprise environments.

KEY QUOTES:

“AI is fundamentally changing both the cloud infrastructure architecture and the scale of cyber threats and how organizations build and operate software. Context is key to managing internal and external risks, security teams need to understand how cloud, and AI interact in real time.”

“Security needs to keep pace with environments that AI agents can change at a speed and scale that human teams alone cannot match. By combining real-time intelligence at runtime with the context needed to understand and remediate risk, we’re helping organizations move beyond alert management toward proactive security.”

“This round gives us the opportunity to accelerate our momentum, expand our capabilities, and continue delivering the innovation customers need to secure cloud and AI infrastructure in the agentic era.”

Amiram Shachar, CEO And Co-Founder Of Upwind

“Upwind gives us the exact visibility and context we need to stay ahead of cloud threats with complete confidence. It has removed the complexity from cloud security to give us a clear, high-impact defense strategy with minimal overhead.”
