Upwind Security is raising $300 million in new financing at a $3.8 billion valuation, according to Bloomberg, as investors continue directing significant capital toward cybersecurity companies protecting cloud infrastructure and artificial intelligence applications.

Bessemer Venture Partners is leading the financing, with existing investors also participating in the round. Subsequent reporting identified TCV as a co-lead and listed Craft Ventures, Salesforce Ventures, Greylock, Cyberstarts, Leaders Fund and Alta Park Capital among the participating investors.

The financing represents a substantial increase in Upwind’s valuation in less than a year.

In January 2026, the company raised $250 million at a valuation of approximately $1.5 billion. A subsequent investment from Salesforce Ventures reportedly valued Upwind at roughly $1.6 billion.

The latest $3.8 billion valuation therefore represents an increase of approximately $2.3 billion from its January valuation, highlighting the rapid growth in investor demand for cloud and AI cybersecurity platforms.

Upwind was founded in 2022 by Amiram Shachar, Tal Zur, Lavi Ferdman and Liran Polak, members of the founding team behind Spot.io, which NetApp acquired in 2020.

The company develops a cloud security platform designed to provide organizations with real-time visibility into cloud infrastructure and identify vulnerabilities and active threats across production environments.

Upwind’s technology is increasingly being positioned around securing both traditional cloud workloads and emerging AI applications as enterprises deploy more artificial intelligence models and autonomous systems into production environments.

The growth of generative and agentic AI has created additional cybersecurity concerns as AI systems become capable of interacting with external applications, infrastructure, and data. That shift is increasing demand for security platforms capable of monitoring both cloud infrastructure and AI-related activity.

Upwind has also benefited from broader consolidation in cloud cybersecurity. Google’s acquisition of Wiz has created additional opportunities for independent cloud security providers as enterprises evaluate alternatives and seek platforms capable of operating across multiple cloud environments.

The company has reported rapid commercial expansion. Earlier this year, Upwind said it had recorded 900% year-over-year revenue growth and doubled its customer base, while its customer roster includes companies such as Roku, Siemens, Nubank, Wix, Peloton and Nextdoor.

The new $300 million financing gives Upwind substantially more capital to continue scaling as cybersecurity spending increasingly converges with cloud infrastructure and AI adoption.

At a $3.8 billion valuation, the funding also establishes Upwind as one of the more highly valued independent companies competing in the rapidly expanding cloud and AI security market.
