UrgentIQ has raised $15 million in Series A growth funding from Five Elms Capital to expand its AI-native operating platform for urgent care centers.
The company plans to use the funding to accelerate development of a broader clinical and financial operating platform beyond its core electronic medical record product.
Planned capabilities include AI-powered documentation and coding, automated revenue cycle management, insurance verification and checkout.
UrgentIQ was founded by Nat Gibbs and built specifically around urgent care workflows rather than adapting software designed for hospitals or primary care environments.
The company said its platform has achieved an average customer satisfaction rating of 9.7 out of 10.
UrgentIQ integrates scheduling, patient intake, clinical documentation, AI-powered coding, revenue cycle management and payments in a single platform.
The company plans to use the new funding to build a native billing module, advanced AI-powered diagnosis and coding tools, live insurance verification and an AI checkout agent.
Five Elms manages more than $3 billion and has invested in more than 70 software platforms globally.
KEY QUOTES:
“Urgent care is one of the most operationally demanding environments in healthcare: patients arrive sporadically and providers have minutes, not hours, to make decisions; plus every visit has to move seamlessly from care to payment. And yet, the industry’s core software was largely built for healthcare environments that operate nothing like this. We believe urgent care deserves its own operating system – one designed around speed, intelligence, and automation from the ground up. That is what we’re building with UrgentIQ.”
Nat Gibbs, Founder and CEO of UrgentIQ
“UrgentIQ has built a platform with exceptional operator adoption and product satisfaction, and the metrics reflect it. We are proud to partner with Nat and the team as they bring a modern, purpose-built solution to a market that has been long overdue for one.”
