USA Engineers, a North Texas civil engineering and surveying firm, has been acquired by Dallas Cothrum through an asset purchase and will join Cothrum’s family of companies alongside Masterplan Consultants, expanding the combined group’s engineering, surveying, and development services platform across the region.
Effective as of January 1, 2026, USA Engineers will operate under its existing name and continue servicing current clients, while gaining access to expanded resources and closer collaboration with Masterplan Consultants. The companies said the alignment is intended to create a more integrated, end-to-end offering spanning early planning and feasibility through design, surveying, and construction support.
Founded in 1982 and formerly known as USA Professional Services Group, USA Engineers provides civil engineering, surveying, and infrastructure solutions for municipalities, developers, and private-sector clients. Its work includes master-planned communities, residential subdivisions, commercial developments, and infrastructure projects throughout North Texas, with services covering transportation and roadway improvements, water and wastewater systems, land development support, and a range of surveying and staking services.
The firm cited experience in projects and communities across the Metroplex, including Windmill Farms in Forney, Polo Ridge in Mesquite, Meadow Ridge Farm and Prestwick Grove in Frisco, and Robson Ranch in Denton, along with ongoing work for major residential builders and mixed-use projects. Masterplan Consultants, founded in 1981, focuses on zoning, entitlement, land use, and development consulting for complex projects nationwide.
