Valinor Enterprises: $54 Million Series A Raised To Expand Defense-Tech Holding Company Model

By Amit Chowdhry • Jan 9, 2026

Valinor Enterprises, an operational holding company focused on defense and government technology, said it raised $54 million in Series A financing, bringing total capital raised to more than $85 million. The round was led by Friends & Family Capital, a venture firm co-founded by former Palantir CFO Colin Anderson and investor John Fogelsong. Existing backers General Catalyst, Founders Fund, and Red Cell Partners also participated, while new investors included Narya, XYZ Venture Capital, and Fifth Down Capital.

Founded in 2024 and headquartered in Washington, D.C., Valinor said it is pursuing a hub-and-spoke operating model that centralizes infrastructure and go-to-market functions while decentralizing engineering across a portfolio of “Product Companies.” The company said the funding will be used to scale its existing product units, create new ones, and pursue corporate development opportunities.

Valinor said it has publicly launched five Product Companies in under a year, spanning offerings such as a mobile medical system (Harbor), a smart optics system with onboard vision models (Reflex), a modular charging node for unmanned systems (Dispatch), secure data ingestion software for disconnected environments (Streamline), and an attritable unmanned aircraft system designed for high-volume production with a U.S. supply chain (Condor). The company said these products have begun securing government contracts and deploying to missions across defense, intelligence, and civilian agencies, as well as reaching commercial customers.

Valinor also said it is building new Product Companies in military construction and infrastructure, munition lifecycle management, and maritime support systems, with initial public rollouts planned for early 2026.

KEY QUOTES:

“It’s no longer enough to focus only on building the best, most innovative products. We need bold reinvention and diversity in the business models that deliver products to our warfighters and civil servants.”

Julie Bush, Co-Founder and CEO, Valinor Enterprises

“Having built Palantir as CFO and backed both Anduril and SpaceX as longtime investors, we know what it takes to deliver meaningful products to the loudest problems in defense and government. Yet, a new model is required to solve the longtail of quiet problems. We are proud to support Valinor as it applies the proven operational holding company model seen in software and biotech to the critical missions facing our defense and national security.”

Colin Anderson, Co-Founder, Friends & Family Capital

“Taken individually, each of Valinor’s products has the power to categorically change outcomes for our warfighters and frontline operators. Taken together, we believe they represent a sea-change in how products are sourced, developed, and delivered for defense, national security, and broader public sector missions.”
