Valtir Acquires QWICK KURB To Expand Roadway Safety Portfolio

Valtir has completed its acquisition of QWICK KURB, adding raised-curb channelization and lane-separation products to its roadway safety portfolio.

QWICK KURB develops modular, surface-mounted channelization systems combining interlocking curb sections with high-visibility panels or bollards designed to rebound after vehicle impacts.

Its product portfolio includes vertical median separators, The Big Bollard, Mega Marker and Pedestrian Marker.

The systems are used across applications including construction work zones, narrow medians, bicycle lanes and railroad quiet zones to provide visible separation between vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians.

QWICK KURB expands a Valtir product portfolio that already includes guardrails, end terminals, cable and steel longitudinal barriers, crash cushions, truck-mounted attenuators, water-filled barricades, signs and delineators.

Valtir’s products are sold and installed throughout North America and in more than 50 international markets.

The company plans to expand QWICK KURB’s reach through its broader network serving contractors, distributors, municipalities, government agencies and transportation departments.

Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced.
