Vance Street Capital, a Los Angeles-based middle-market private equity firm focused on highly engineered solutions businesses in industrial technology, medical, life science, and aerospace and defense, has appointed Jason Burmer as Managing Director and Head of Business Development.
Burmer joins from Edgewater Capital Partners, a specialty industrials and life sciences fund, where he led business development over seven years and multiple successive funds. Prior to Edgewater, he served as Associate Director at H.I.G. Capital, where he originated investment opportunities in the industrials and services sectors. In his new role, Burmer will lead and scale Vance Street’s origination function in support of the firm’s thesis-driven, sector-focused investment strategy.
Vance Street invests alongside management teams and family owners, focusing on businesses that design and manufacture technically differentiated products across its target sectors.
