Vance Street Capital has appointed Katherine “Kate” Dowley Head of Investor Relations as the Los Angeles-based private equity firm continues expanding its institutional capabilities and relationships with limited partners.
Dowley will lead capital formation, investor communications and relationship management with existing and prospective LPs. She will work with Vance Street’s senior leadership and investment teams to deepen investor engagement as the firm grows.
The appointment follows continued expansion by Vance Street, which focuses on founder-owned and family-owned businesses and corporate carve-outs providing highly engineered, mission-critical products and services.
Its targeted sectors include industrial technology, medical and life sciences, and aerospace and defense.
Vance Street closed Vance Street Capital IV at its $775 million hard cap in 2024, bringing the firm’s total capital raised to more than $2 billion.
Dowley joins from W Capital Partners and previously held positions at L Catterton and Lindsay Goldberg.
Her appointment gives Vance Street a dedicated senior executive overseeing the investor relationships supporting its next phase of institutional growth.
