VanEck announced that several of its ETF model portfolios are now available through Orion, a provider of wealth technology solutions for financial advisors and enterprise firms. The move marks VanEck’s first integration of its model portfolios with the Orion platform and expands advisor access to its diversified, multi-asset investment strategies.
Through the integration, advisors using Orion can access VanEck’s model portfolios at no additional cost, enabling them to implement diversified strategies while outsourcing portfolio construction, trading, and rebalancing.
The offering includes multiple portfolio strategies designed to address varying investment objectives and risk profiles. The Wealth Builder Plus Portfolios provide core allocation strategies across conservative, moderate, and aggressive risk levels, combining equities, fixed income, and allocations to real and digital assets. The Real Assets Portfolio focuses on commodities, natural resources, gold, REITs, MLPs, and infrastructure, using a rules-based approach to address inflation and enhance diversification. Meanwhile, the Select Opportunities Portfolio offers a high-conviction, equity-focused strategy targeting capital appreciation through differentiated exposures across sectors, geographies, and risk factors.
All five model portfolios have outperformed their respective benchmarks since inception, according to the company.
The portfolios are built on an open-architecture framework that incorporates both VanEck and third-party ETFs, enabling advisors to align with client objectives and risk tolerances. They are managed by VanEck’s Multi-Asset Solutions team, led by David Schassler, using a quantitative, data-driven approach to asset allocation and portfolio construction.
VanEck said the collaboration enables advisors to focus more on client relationships and business growth while leveraging institutional-grade portfolio management capabilities.
The firm, founded in 1955, manages approximately $224.5 billion in assets as of February 28, 2026, spanning mutual funds, ETFs, and institutional accounts. Its investment approach combines active and passive strategies with a focus on diversification, liquidity, and transparency.
KEY QUOTE:
“We’re excited to collaborate with Orion and make VanEck’s model portfolios available to their growing advisor community. Our models go beyond traditional core allocations by incorporating real assets, digital assets and thematic exposures that reflect the macro forces shaping today’s markets. By accessing these strategies on Orion’s platform, advisors can offload the heavy lifting of portfolio construction, trading and rebalancing so they can focus serving their clients and growing their businesses.”
