Vanna Health announced it has raised $17 million in funding to expand evidence-based care for people living with serious mental illness. The funding round was co-led by a national healthcare insurance company and AlleyCorp, with participation from Health Velocity Capital. The investment will support Vanna Health’s clinical expansion, deepen its technology infrastructure, and bring its recovery-oriented care model to more communities across the United States.

Vanna Health is a value-based health technology company providing integrated mental and chronic health support through community-based coaching. The company works with health insurance companies and community partners to deliver coordinated, person-centered care for people living with serious mental illness.

Serious mental illness, including schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and bipolar disorder, affects approximately 14 million Americans. Vanna Health was founded to help close the gap between evidence-based care that has been shown to improve outcomes and the care many individuals actually receive.

The company’s care model combines evidence-based clinical care, community integration, and proprietary technology. Vanna Health supports individuals with serious mental illness in achieving stability, recovery, and long-term well-being by addressing social, behavioral, and medical factors that influence outcomes and costs.

The funding will help Vanna Health accelerate expansion into new markets. The company currently operates in four states and plans to grow its clinical and operational teams while continuing to develop the technology platform that supports its care model.

Vanna Health said its technology-enabled approach is designed to scale while preserving quality and human connection. The company’s model meets individuals where they are, including in homes, communities, and relationships that support lasting recovery.

Vanna Health partners with health insurance companies to deliver evidence-based care that supports stability, recovery, and lasting well-being. The company’s mission is centered on connection, dignity, and belonging for people living with serious mental illness.

KEY QUOTES:

“AlleyCorp backs founders solving healthcare’s hardest problems, and Vanna Health is doing exactly that. Severe mental illness is clinically, socially, and financially devastating. Vanna has proven a model that significantly improves the lives of people facing these challenges while reducing systemic costs. It’s a rare win-win, and we are proud to lead this round and help this uniquely capable team scale their impact nationwide.”

Alexi Nazem, AlleyCorp

“We seek to partner with companies tackling healthcare’s most complex and costly challenges with pragmatic models that can scale and deliver measurable outcomes. Vanna is doing exactly that. The team has built a differentiated approach to serving individuals living with serious mental illness, combining evidence-based care, community support, and technology in a way that benefits members, payers, and providers alike. We are excited to work with and support the Vanna team as it scales its model and expands access to high-quality care.”

Kristin Torres Mowat, Health Velocity Capital

“Vanna Health is not just a company, it’s a labor of love. I named it after my mother because she inspired me. She spent her whole life caring for my father, who lived with a serious mental illness, and she did it with a love I have never stopped feeling. We built Vanna so every patient we treat and every life we touch can feel that same love, and so every member gets the chances my father never had before he lost his battle with depression to suicide. This is more than a mission. It’s a statement. My mother never gave up on my father, and we will never give up on the people who count on us. We see it every day in the eyes of the people we help, in a smile that says more than any thank you ever could.”

Giovanni Colella, Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of Vanna Health

“This funding is a powerful affirmation that the future of healthcare is rooted in people, place, and purpose. At Vanna Health, we are building care that helps people not only stabilize, but truly flourish. We believe healing happens through connection, dignity, and belonging, supported by technology that strengthens rather than fragments human care. This investment will allow us to deepen our impact, expand our reach, and continue building communities where people with serious mental illness can live fuller, healthier, and more purposeful lives.”
