Varonis To Buy AllTrue.ai To Add AI Trust, Risk, And Security Controls

Varonis announced it has agreed to acquire AllTrue.ai, positioning the deal as an expansion of its data security platform into AI Trust, Risk, and Security Management (AI TRiSM). The company said AllTrue.ai helps organizations understand and control how AI systems behave across the enterprise, with an emphasis on visibility into AI assets and real-time guardrails.

Varonis framed the acquisition around a growing shift in how enterprises use AI, arguing that models, copilots, and agents are increasingly reading, writing, modifying, and acting on data at machine speed. The company said this change introduces a new class of security and governance risk when organizations lack clear visibility into which AI systems exist, what they are doing, and what data they can access.

Under Varonis, AllTrue.ai is expected to add observability and enforcement for AI systems, complementing Varonis’ existing focus on enterprise data, identities, and access. Varonis said the combined platform will help organizations identify AI systems and agents, understand how they are connected, and apply controls to reduce exposure, including least privilege policies rooted in data access.

Varonis described AllTrue.ai as providing capabilities to discover AI assets across an environment, including shadow AI, assess security posture for agents, chatbots, and models, enforce runtime protections through an AI gateway, monitor and alert on AI usage, and support testing and compliance reporting as regulations evolve. The company also argued that AI security is inseparable from data security because the value and risk of AI depend heavily on the data AI can access, and because misconfigurations or agent behavior can create operational, compliance, and breach risks.

Varonis said its goal is to enable organizations to adopt more autonomous AI systems while maintaining trust, accountability, and policy alignment, particularly as AI becomes embedded in core business processes.

KEY QUOTES

“Most AI security efforts focus on models and prompts. But the real value, and risk, of AI is related to the enterprise data AI can access. Varonis pioneered the data-centric security approach that must be the bedrock of AI security. Together, we can give organizations the fastest path to safe, compliant, and trustworthy AI.”
