Vauban Infrastructure Partners said it has appointed Olivier Guerrini as Investment Director, effective January 2026, adding an energy transition executive with more than two decades of experience across utilities and independent power producers to the firm’s investment platform.
Guerrini will be based in Vauban’s Paris office and join an investment team of around 40 professionals spread across Paris and Munich, the firm said. Vauban said he will support origination efforts across Europe, focusing on identifying and securing investments within the firm’s Value-Add Transition strategy and the broader infrastructure market, including through bilateral partnerships.
Vauban said Guerrini brings expertise spanning renewables and green gases, battery and hydroelectric energy storage systems, and “PowerFlex-type” flexible energy solutions. Most recently, he worked at TotalEnergies from 2020 to 2025, where Vauban said he built and scaled renewable gas activities across the U.S., Europe, and India to 1.5 GWh of production capacity and later expanded flexible energy storage to more than 1 GW of battery assets, primarily in Germany.
Before TotalEnergies, Guerrini held senior roles at ENGIE and SUEZ from 2008 to 2020 across renewables, energy recovery and green gases, including responsibilities in technology, digital transformation, operations and business development, according to the firm. Vauban said his background includes development, financing, construction, operations and maintenance, and scaling business units.
Guerrini holds engineering and applied mathematics degrees from the National Institute of Applied Sciences, an MBA from ESSEC Business School, and a PhD in clean hydrogen generation in partnership with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Vauban said.
