VB Spine Acquires Stryker’s Cestas Spine Implant Plant, Expanding Global Manufacturing Footprint

By Amit Chowdhry • Jan 7, 2026

VB Spine has completed its acquisition of Stryker’s spine implant manufacturing facility in Cestas, France, adding a European production hub that the company said will become a central pillar of its global manufacturing strategy.

The Cestas site is known for what VB Spine described as state-of-the-art operations and technical capabilities. With the deal closed, VB Spine said the facility’s workforce, infrastructure, and established manufacturing processes have transitioned to the privately held spine company, while production continues without interruption.

The transaction builds on VB Spine’s formation on April 1, 2025, when the company was created through the acquisition of Stryker’s U.S. spine implant business. VB Spine operates independently under the leadership of Marc, John, and Anthony Viscogliosi, the co-founders of Viscogliosi Brothers, LLC.

In addition to broadening its manufacturing footprint, VB Spine said the Cestas facility will support expanded medical education and training programs in Europe, with the plant positioned to serve as a platform for disseminating best practices to surgeons.

VB Spine said integration planning is underway to align systems, quality processes, and supply-chain operations as the facility is incorporated into the company’s broader manufacturing network. The company also said the acquisition strengthens its ability to serve surgeons and patients globally as it scales production and distribution.

Financing for the transaction included equity investment from Viscogliosi Brothers, LLC and Viscogliosi Brothers Watermark Holdings LLC, according to the company.
