Vector has acquired YardView, a yard management and dock visibility provider, in a move aimed at delivering a single, end-to-end platform spanning gate, yard, dock, and document workflows for shippers and logistics operators.
The deal combines Vector’s digital execution tools, such as electronic bill of lading and driver check-in, with YardView’s real-time tracking and visibility capabilities, as supply chains face tighter labor conditions, rising detention costs, and mounting pressure to digitize handoffs across the transfer of custody.
Vector said the acquisition is intended to close a persistent “visibility gap” that can emerge during custody transfers, where operational teams often lack real-time insight into trailer locations, dock availability, and yard activity. By integrating YardView’s yard management system with Vector’s workflow platform, the company aims to provide customers with more continuous, actionable data from arrival at the gate through dock assignment and departure.
The combined business serves more than 100 shippers across North America, according to the companies, and supports a range of customer environments—from small yards with fewer than 10 dock doors to large enterprise networks. Vector said the expanded footprint is expected to strengthen network effects across supply chains while increasing resources for product development and customer support.
Vector co-founder and CEO Will Chu said the combination creates a broader operating system for yard execution, pairing e-BOL-powered workflows with dock and visibility tools to support both smaller operations and complex enterprise sites. YardView President Nathan Harris, who has led the company for more than a decade, will retain equity ownership and continue advising the business. YardView Chief Operating Officer Heather Giordano will lead the YardView business unit within Vector.
Vector described the transaction as a strategic acquisition enabled through its partnership with BVP Forge. BVP Forge is a private equity firm focused on growth-oriented, self-sustaining technology and services businesses, with access to the broader Bessemer Venture Partners platform.
Vector positions its platform around logistics workflows that connect shippers, carriers, and receivers, emphasizing faster throughput, fraud prevention, and real-time visibility. YardView, founded in 1998, focuses on yard management software that links gate, yard, and dock operations in a single system, aiming to reduce delays and improve asset control through automation and real-time visibility.
